South Delhi’s largest terrace at The Sky High

Ansal Plaza, a name close to every Delhiites heart , is going through a revamp and aren’t we happy to hear that?! Located in South Delhi and well connected by road and metro, this mall has the perfect location and a grand atrium.

As part of the revamp , some big names such as Decathlon are to launch in the mall and hey, can food stay behind? Even before the mall is officially launched, Ansal plaza has been grabbing a lot of attention with the terrace restaurant called ‘The Sky High’ that opened its doors for the public in November.

Said to be one largest terrace restaurants in Delhi and the entry path way (see below) will leave you awestruck. (Caution: Avoid stilettoes to sky high). The place is indeed large and best enjoyed on a warm winter afternoon and on a cool summer evening. White and black hues around rendering a classy yet romantic feel to the place.

Service was spot on as they served with a smile and were helpful.

They haven’t still got the liquor license but shishas are good enough to get you happy.

Coming to the food! We tried a lot of things which were mainly starters , desserts. Liked most of them while some could be improved.

Loaded Nachos (4.5/5) were in huge bowl and topped lavishly with salsa, cheese and olives.

Pomfret (4.5/5) is really tough to eat as a whole fish but if the taste is good, you will have the patience to polish it off. We had it as it was very well cooked and spiced.

Galouti kebab (3.5/5) really soft galoutis and thin warqi parantha. The galouti could be a tad bit less fibrous though.

Chicken wings (3.5/5) had a good amount of BBQ Sauce and sweetness but a tab bit hard from the outside.

Alfredo Pasta (4.5/5) was amazing! Huge portion and right balance of all flavors.

Chocolate Fondue (3/5) has a lot of fruits (kiwi, oranges, bananas and apples) along with marshmallows and sponge cake to dip in the thick chocolate sauce. The sauce could be thinner for easy dipping and would love just marshmallows and cake with the chocolate. There is no need of fruits as half of them didn’t even go well with the chocolate.

Overall, this place deserves a visit with family, friends or just on a date. Try out the things suggested and you won’t be disappointed and we can’t wait for the liquor license…shhhhh 😉
