Lady Baga : Goa isn’t far
Set in the heart of Connaught Place , Lady Baga is a lovely little cafe , guaranteed to take your breath away . It is perfect for anyone looking for some sea and sand with the right kind of Goan food and music .
Right from the food to the music everything has been carefully decided and set . The moment you step into the cafe you are reminded of the sea side shacks with lively Goan music playing in the background while you enjoy a well cooked Goan meal .
This newly opened restaurant gives us an amazing – beachy vibe with cute little dream-catcher inspired chandeliers , graffiti , artificial water-curtain and sand , every little detail has been paid attention to . There is also a live band singing a mix of bollywood and oldies , providing that much needed goan feel to the city
Talking about the food ; we started off with the vegetarian platter with home-made fries , fried jalepenos , paneer tikka and mushroom patty that was quite impressive . The presentation was also quite good and the platter was served with 3 kinds of dips that complimented the the platter.
Our second favorite was the ‘whole lotta ros-ie’ . Served with freshly baked buns , this goan delicacy was served on top of an omelette with chicken chunks, malai and chopped veggies .
Out of a wide variety of drinks and mocktails , ‘mango with whipped cream thus won our hearts’ . It is the perfect drink to enjoy some sea breeze and light goan music .
As they say, that “The meal isn’t complete , until you eat something sweet!” , the Cocoa Cabana stole our hearts away and made it to the top of the list . It was a perfect blend of chocolate , coconut based ice-cream and wafer .
We would like to conclude by saying that head to Lady Baga if you’ve missed that yearly trip to Goa with your friends for your beachy-fix . This one won’t disappoint you .
