Tea Halt-Mutliple Outlets

Food: 3.5/5

Service: 3.5/5

Ambience: 3.5/5

Overall: 3.5/5

Delhi NCR has seen a burst of new Tea joints in the past 1.5 years and luckily so. Earlier, all dates and joints were centered around coffee (the more sophisticated cousin of tea). For a person like me who is more fond of tea than coffee, the fun has just started. Glad to see people going go Tea dates instead of coffee breaks 😀

One such outlet is Tea Halt. They opened a branch in Delhi and have expended in Delhi NCR with great speed! Guess some thing is working really well for them. Apart from Tea Halt, there is also ‘Chaayos’ on similar lines but I personally prefer Tea Halt as you not only get many types of tea, you also get a lot of variety in food items.

From Pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, pakodas, papri and other savoury items, this is a nice place.

A branch of Tea Halt opened near my office recently and I am so glad it did! Some nice food and decent variety.

Things I tried here:

~ Ginger and Tulsi Tea: Pretty decent in taste and cooked well. Ginger flavour was more prominent than Tulsi.

~ Pakode Platter: Only one variety of Pakode with two dips (Mint dip and one slightly spicy dip). It was not any vegetable pakode like gobi, aloo etc. It was a besan pakoda with some coriander, small veggies etc. It was decent but not the authentic Indian pakode you would expect.

~ Papri Chaat Shots: Each Papri was crisp and had sev, onion, tomatoes but I missed the curd and tanginess in it.

~Mix sauce pasta (veg):  This was nice. It has more of cheese and less of tomatoes (60-40%) and that I loved. it had a lot of veggies and olives to make it tangy.

~Baked nachos: These  weren’t cheesy enough for my liking. very little cheese so they need to work on that

~Chicken wings: These weren’t great as I found them a bit dry and bland

~Chicken sticks: These were like deep fried minced chicken croquettes and I liked them. tasted good with the sauce they served. mildly spiced.

~Pepperoni pizza: Pizza with onions was simple and great. Cheese was added lavishly and the crust was crisp (thin crust).

~Gourmet Italiano pizza:  Was yummy! loaded with veggies and cheese.

~Chicken Hawain Pizza: A nice combination of Bacon, chicken,BBQ Sauce and loads of Cheese! Favourite thing here.

Overall, I loved their pizzas and pasta. other things could be worked upon a bit more but nice . Would be back for more due to the proximity and in times when you need to have a quick meeting/date.
