Unlimited Dimsum Buffet at Chi

Planning for you Sunday brunch? A fan of oriental food? Chi is your place then! I recently tried their Unlimited  Dimsum Buffet and it was an enjoyable experience! This special buffet is available only on Sundays and only in this branch of Chi.

Chi, has a stellar range of dimsums and the best that I have ever had in Delhi. The moment I entered chi, I was welcomed by a warm server and the place appealed to me instantly. Vibrant place with white walls, blue and green installations against the white walls ,ample sunlight from the windows and yea, a large bar on the left. This setup was very cheerful , bright and welcoming.

We checked out the menu and decided to go for the Dimsum buffet as we found it a value for money deal at Rs. 795++ for Veg and Rs. 995++ for Non Veg buffet considering the fact that they were serving us 6-7 varieties of dimsums, a starter , one mockatil/cocktail, a soup,a main dish with rice/noodles and a dessert.

In the dimsum buffet I had a classic mojito which was refreshing and skipped the soup.
Dimsums that I loved were coriander and chicken (which tasted more like that regular chicken momos we have in Delhi and we all love it) ,chicken sui mai (open dimsum which is larger in size than the others and has more of filling than the coating) and the spicy chicken dimsum (Not super spicy so I liked it). All were fresh with a super thin and fine outer layer.

I had fish in Black bean sauce as the starter and found it super yum. They have tofu version of the same for vegetarians. Such soft fish just with black bean sauce just drizzled on top rendering a bitter sweet taste. Liked it.

I had their chicken main course with rice and it was delicious! Well cooked chicken pieces in a sweet and tangy redish sauce. It was nice and different from the starter we had.

For dessert I had vanilla ice cream with wasabi sauce, chocolate and strawberry sauce, all mingles in a bowl with the ice cream. Found it a Chinese version of a banana split and didn’t go too well with me. Could be better.

Overall, the experience was great and you can visit this place with family, friends or on a date. For the amount of things and quantity we ate, the price they charged was justified.
