Bread & more, a bakery I have been getting my birthday cakes from here since I was 6! Isn’t that proof enough of how good this place is? 🙂 When we started ordering from here, there was just one branch near my house and that was in GK N Block Market. now, after many years, they have branches all over Delhi and that’s so nice to see!
I love it when a place so close to your heart gets appreciated.I still love the bakery items and savouries here but the branch I visit the most now-a-days is the Vasant Vihar Branch.
Bread & more has always had a good decor but after a recent theme change, all their branches are extremely pretty! This branch in Vasant Vihar has a the cutest possible seating outdoors with white rot iron chairs, beautiful awnings, floral crockery and dry flower arrangements all over. The indoor portion has well stacked desserts, savouries and breads.
But, the outdoor seating is perfect for a date!
Coming to the things I recommend there:
Choco oreo cheese cake: This was heaven!! A must must try here! Super smooth chocolate cheese cake with chocolate sauce on top and a bit inside.loved it! the texture is so smooth and you can still taste a bit of chocolate powder in it.
Lemon tart: This comes in two sizes but I have the same taste. I went for the smaller one. Lemon curd had apt about of lemon in it and the tart was crisp.
Chocolate Tart: Similar to the small lemon tart, this is also crisp and yum. The small tarts are great bite-sized desserts as you consume little calories but they help you satiate your sweet craving.
Chocolate Truffle: Have had the cakes as well as the pastry. Always fresh and not hard. I don’t like had truffles. In these, the cake is spongy and the layers of chocolates in between aren’t too thick….like that.
Savoury Items and Drinks:
Ham and cheese croissant: Freshly baked and lavishly filled with ham and melted cheese slices. Perfect amount of butter in the croissant
Mushroom and chicken calzone: Again quite fresh and stuffed well with a mix of both chicken and mushroom. It is a little bland for spice lovers though.
Cold coffee: Was mildly sweet making it strong and less heavy. This could be thicker and more frothy for sure. Room for improvement.
Cappucino: Served in a super cute floral mug and tasted great! A perfect cappucino.
As I type this review,I am craving to go back and try more things. The ambience, the desserts and experience will surely make you go back again and again. Do try this out with your date or just with friends, you will come out satiated 🙂
